UMO Burkinais looking for his client a HR MANAGER H/F
In order to strengthen its team, an active group in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public work, mines, quarries and transport is looking for a human resources manager.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct and coordinates a HR Officer, and cover Burkina, Niger, Togo and Benin, to enable them to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business
Develop and implement human resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy to attract, manage, develop and retain resources
Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Manage the recruitment and selection process
Advice on best human resources practices and where necessary takes a hands-on role
Deploy the induction plan for all new employees
Set up and administration of customized performance improvement plan
Drafting of employee handbook and assist in its implementation
Coordinate with the training department for any training requirements
Develop workplace communications plans and disciplinary
Advise and assist in dealing with government entities regarding legal matters
Conduct employee counselling upon occurrences
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Maintain pay plan and benefits program
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Be responsible for aligning business strategy with people strategy and act as the human resource business partner to organization
Report to management and provide decision support through human resource metrics
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
PROFIL REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in human resource or any alternative qualifications from a recognized Institution
Minimum of 8 years proven practice in a senior or mid senior position in the field of Human Resources including 3 years in a large organization
At least 5 years experience in an HR Manager position in the mining sector
Excellent internal and external communication skills
Knowledge of HR systems and databases
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Good knowledge of MS Office software, knowledge of an ERP, especially SAP, is an asset
Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities
Have highly developed and proven team management skills
Possesses both strong and effective oral and written communication as well as presentation skills (French and English)
Possess a high degree of confidentiality, integrity, organizational, management and communication skills
Be well versed with employment regulations in Burkina Faso
